The Monsignor Donnelly Hall was built in the later part of 1978 to replace a previous Parish Hall which was in bad state of repair.  It was officially opened on January 30, 1979 by Bishop William E. Power, Bishop of Antigonish, who dedicated and blessed the facility.  It has been an enormous addition to the Parish and erected under the Parish Priest of the day, Father Francis Morley. Subsequent improvements have been made, especially during the past ten years.  In June of 2004, the Hall was renamed and dedicated to Monsignor Robert Donnelly and so called the "Monsignor Donnelly Hall".  Monsignor DONNELLY served as the Parish Priest of Saint Peter's, TRACADIE, from 1967-1977.  When he retired, he built a home just beside the present Church and remained there until his death on May 13. 2005.  He served the Diocese of Antigonish as a priest for 71 years; one of its longest serving parish priests.   The facility is sustained by rental fees but primarily and ultimately by the Parish of Saint Peter's. There is a contract and agreement form available for the renting of the Hall, which is available from The Caretaker, Mr. Vern Stafford; or by leaving a message at the Hall - 232-2942.
